Paris fashion week shocker
Music is integral to runway fashion shows, and I audibly gasped on the subway when I read that Cat Power sang live during the Chanel couture show at Paris fashion week. (Those are not typos.) Cat Power + Chanel.
How does Karl Lagerfeld even know who Chan Marshall is? And for the love of a teacup poodle, I hope that he dressed her. Either way, it's pretty exciting for an indie artist to get that kind of acclaim. Maybe her voice on Cingular's "Hanging on the Telephone" tv ad campaign helped.
